Say you’re looking for something you lost …and then an image comes into your head and you haven’t even really focused on finding it. And the thing that came into your head is the target.Is that the same as remote viewing?
Actually it depends on how you define Remote Viewing. Most of the scientist and former military viewers (many of which have different views) would not consider what you described as remote viewing.
Remote viewing has very specific methods and protocols that define it.
This is not to say that the information does not come from the same place or manifest in your mind the same way which may very well be the case.
I would say that a normal explanation would be you recalling (the image) where you last used the lost object (perhaps presented to your memory in some odd way) or possibly (less likely) that the information was received via psychic channels.

Remote Viewing is a method of gathering data by transcending space and time. The remote viewer sits quietly, with their eyes closed, and uses some innate, possibly dormant ability to accurately describe activities, events, objects and geographical locations all over the planet (and beyond) in the past, present or future.

yeah, that’s pretty much it. Remote viewing is simply viewing something from a remote location. Aka seeing something exactly where it is without having to be in the same space that it’s in.

Unless you're trying to flush out remote viewers, it would be so much faster for you read a BOOK than to keep asking these questions.
There are many books to read but this is one of my favorites.
